January 6th - start!

7:00 AM - i woke up to get ready to leave.
8:00 AM - i went back to sleep.
9:45 PM - i had been having phone problems for the past few days, so i decided to get a new phone. my old friend env is now hanging out in a dresser in my room, where he will be utilized in dire situations. i've since made friends with dare, a delightful little bloke of about 4 inches.
11:00 AM - we started packing everything up in the ol' escape. this usually takes us a while, but we got it done relatively quickly this time.
11:45 AM - we are ready to leave, so we head out. at the end of the street we remember that we forgot a box of cds, so we turn around to get them.
11:50 PM - we leave again, and go to the bank.
12:00 PM - i make a deposit, get back in the car, and we head off to pick up tyler in indianapolis.
2:00 PM - we pick tyler up, eat some subway, and make our way down the interstate.

we're well on our way to california
[californiiiiaaaaa, here we cooooome]
we will be heading to LA first. mind you, it makes me feel awesome when people ask me "where's your band touring?" to respond "well, we're going to LA first..." mainly because this leads to the assumption that my band is absolutely huge. LA = success! this may be a misconception, but i'm still pretty excited. my band is not absolutely huge. my appetite for cookies is.

it's looking like we're going to be out longer than i thought.
more info on new dates soon!

i'm gonna post more pictures on here this tour for sure. seriously. i always say that, but i never do. i'm making it happen.

December 10th - after Plano, TX

i am writing this from our hotel in plano, tx
it's 2:00 in the morning, we just played a show at the door with, of course, go crash audio and floral terrace. good times.

our show today in oklahoma got cancelled because of the weather.. but we are still playing tulsa the next day with backseat goodbye and vanessa rose. radfest '09 for sure.

my throat hurts a lot and i have horrible pink eye, so if you'd like to get out of school for a day, come out to a show and let me rub eye juice on you. schools hate that crap.

we've been listening to balance problems. i really like that.

there are a lot of good shows coming up... i can say i am very excited for colorado, omaha, wisconsin, and fort wayne in particular. why? you tell me, you turkey.

we went to wal mart and i bought a hair brush and medicine. gotta keep my steez in check.

i already said this, but off day tomorrow. off day = :(
ironicly, i was thinking earlier during the show "i'm excited that we only have one off day on this tour and we get to play tomorrow as well", as all our other tours were half shows and half off days hehehe.
all my hopes and dreams have been crushed, you turkey.

our hotel room is very modern. i do miss my own bed, naturally.
come to our shows and buy our stuff so we can eat. ok?
ok

December 8th - Austin, TX

Ello ello
tonight we are in austin, tx playing at a venue called Emo's. it's pretty sweet. it's a place i've been hearing about since i was younger and it's awesome to get to play here, despite how late the show is starting (10:00 PM). oh my.

we played a show last night at the white rabbit in san antonio texas. definitely a good show, the white rabbit is a super cool place with 2 stages; naturally we played the baby band stage, which i'm cool with because it makes me super legit and way indie omg. it also had a rad outdoor merch setup. lots of graffitti, too. rafiki. graffitti.

san antonio is indeed a very beautiful city. we rode a boat down the river walk (i think it's called), and ate at a delicious mexican resteraunt, where a number of pigeons decided to walk on my foot, eat my chips, and poop on tyler's shirt from a tree.

we also visited the alamo, where i battled the spanish army single-handedly. easy as pie.

now we are in austin, waiting for the show to start. tomorrow we head on up (or down?) to plano, where we will be playing at the door. i, along with andy, george, and tyler, are very excited! see image below.

one more thing-
if you want to impress me with gifts, please please please bring chocolate covered sunflower seeds

and red bull

suga free

december 5th - first day of tour

hello everyone! i've decided to start keeping this blog [as well as video updates] to let everyone know exactly what's going on while we're on tour. so i will start from square one.

we left on the 3rd to begin our trek to texas. we decided to drive the 17+ hours to austin in one straight shot, and checked into a nice days inn when we arrived. we explored the city of austin, in which i did a bit of christmas shopping at an american apparel and bought a $5 scarf at urban outfitters for myself. very nice. we also ate at pita pit omg omg.

yesterday, the 5th, marked the first show for andy [neversaynever], who is now playing bass. he did an absolutely awful job and has since been left in brownsville, tx, only miles from the border. only joshing, of course. yesterday also marked the beginning of the "dont open till xmas" tour with go crash audio and floral terrace. good times ahead fo sho.

we left after the show [which ended at 2:00] and drove toward houston, but didn't get very far. we slept in the car. i'm excited to brush my teeth, and possibly dump a bottle of baby powder on my hair.

we ate at gas station/smokehouse and it wasn't really any good. sorry texas, but thus far i have been let down by your barbeque. don't worry, there's still time to prove yourself.

so
we are almost in houston, where we are playing at a place called fitzgerald's.
it's like 60 degrees here and 20 in indiana. lolz @ u jajaja
